TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY CENTRE

 

From Oulu Airport (in Oulunsalo), you can take a bus to the city centre.

The price of the single ticket from airport to the city centre is € 2.60.

Travel time is ca. 30 minutes.

 

Oulu buses accept contactless payment: debit or credit card (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard and Eurocard) or mobile (Google Pay and Apple Pay) to pay for your fare.

Additionally, there’s a handy app called OSL (Oulun Seudun Liikenne).

 

Buses 8 and 9 run between the airport and city centre.

You can also take a taxi from the airport. The taxi prices are pretty high. An airport taxi costs ca. 40-45 € to the city centre.

There are usually taxis outside the airport terminal that you can take but you can also preorder a taxi before your flight to Oulu with an additional preorder fee especially if you will be landing in the middle of the night.

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE RAILWAY STATION TO THE CITY CENTRE

Oulu’s railway station is in the city centre, 1.4 km from Lasaretti. This can be walked in 20 minutes, or in case of  having heavy luggage, taxis are available outside the station.
