The Centre for Languages and Communication LINGUA provides language and communication studies for the university community, external organisations, and lifelong learners. With a team of 50 language teachers, LINGUA offers instruction in eight languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, German, French, Ukrainian, Spanish, and Japanese.

Programme
There will be paper presentations and workshops on 28 & 29 May. Saturday, 30 May is reserved for a cultural event (a guided tour in Oulu).
Registration
Registration is now open!
The workshop fees are:
€220 for in-person participation (without accommodation)
€190 early bird fee for in-person participation (to be paid by 15 March 2026) (without accommodation)
€100 for online participation.
Accommodation at Hotel Lasaretti: €125 for a single room per night & €139 for a twin room per night
Participation fees should be paid by 20 April 2026 (except the early bird fee - see above!)
The final details of the event (incl. the links to join online) will be sent to participants after the payment deadline.
Submission Guidelines
Deadline for submitting abstracts: 28 January 2026
Presenters will be notified whether their abstract was accepted by 27 February 2026 at the very latest.
